I keep a list of things that I am always “hunting” for. I prefer to hunt at flea markets or in antique shops. Yes, I may not find them all at once, but that’s part of the fun! This “hunting” list was inspired by my new resolution to bring/have/use more found objects in my home. Below is what’s currently on my list. (I will add to it as more things come to mind) :
• Rope and Pully Hook – I want to put this somewhere with a basket hanging from it – as shown in this photo from The Old Painted Cottage.
• Old Forest Service Crosscut Saw – this is on the list to make a happy husband, I only agreed to search for this because it would look great on the wall next to his other fire sign. I like to call it “tasteful fire dept. decor” =)
• Old Trophies – preferably pewter or silver. I know Two’s Company and Pottery Barn are currently selling old fashion trophies, like the ones I hope to find…
• An “F” letter made of wood from an old sign – for my office wall hanging cluster of course! (refer to “The Art of Hanging” post).
Do you have a hunting list? What things are you hunting for?
